Pippi Longstocking Goes Aboard - Astrid Lindgren

We are HUGE Pippi Longstocking fans, and so it's fitting that we have added Sweden's most popular children's book character to our collection.

Pippi Longstocking is 9 years old and lives in Villa Villekulla with a horse, a monkey (Mr Nillson) and a big suitcase of gold coins. She is the STRONGEST person in the world (another reason why we love her) and thinks nothing of wrestling a circus strongman or a burglar.

'Pippi Longstocking Goes Abroad' tells the story of Pippi & her best friends Tommy & Annika who have the best time together. They visit the circus, buy ALL the sweets in the sweet shop, and get ship wrecked for the weekend. But when Pipp's long lost father comes to visit, will Pippi sail away to sea with him and leave Tommy and Annika Behind?

We just love her sense of fun and adventure!
