Marimekko 2024 - Jokapoika Shirt Red / Grey
$340.00
My favourite shirt to wear with a pair of straight leg pants , over my swimmers in Summer or with my favourite jeans when I am travelling out west!
The Jokapoika cotton shirt has a relaxed, straight fit and it is printed in the Piccolo pattern. The underside of the front panel and the inside of the cuffs feature the pattern in a different colour. The shirt has a pointed collar, a metal button closure, and a chest pocket. The cuffed sleeves have metal button closures. The fabric is printed in Helsinki.
In her first year at Marimekko in 1953, designer Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi created Piccolo, a striped fabric painted with freehand brushstrokes. Three years later, a Piccolo print shirt called Jokapoika became the first piece of Marimekko menswear to hit the stores and the streets.
