On my recent trip to Finland I was lucky enough to visit Lapuan Kankurit's mill where they spin, weave and make up all of their products with absolute love and commitment to the environment, the textile industry, their community and Finnish design.
The Kuutamo blanket was the very first thing that caught my eye as I walked into the showroom adjacent to the mill. It was hanging from the ceiling in all its glory and the design, the texture and colourways were just incredible. I feel so happy to have them now in our little store at Pappa Sven.
Designed by Saara Obele. KUUTAMO (the moonlight in English) is inspired by the warm, almost tropical nights of late summer, when the forest vegetation strain the light of a bright moon.
The blanket is a luxurious blend of merino and cotton!
This product is made out of bio-organic cotton and high quality, South American merinowool fibre.
