Blåbär Blueberry (Vaccinium myrtillus) is a rice that grows wild in northern Europe. Blueberries are one of the most common plants in Sweden and is estimated to cover about 17% in the country. Blueberries have a juicy, dark burgundy flesh and the taste is sweet with little acidity. Blueberries contain antioxidants. In Sweden blueberry bloom in May/June and is ripe in July/August.
