Teemu Järvi is a Finnish artist who uses organic, traditional tools to capture the soul of Northern Wilderness. The works derive from the artist’s lifelong love of nature. A ceaseless explorer of Finnish woods and lakes, Järvi is familiar with the wildlife through first-hand experience.

We fell in love with his work at Restaurant Nokka in Helsinki and feel so incredibly happy to bring this beautiful part of Finland to Australia.

Spruce, the magnificent tree of the woods. The original Spruce branch wall art was inspired by an ancient Asian printing method know as ‘gyotaku’. In this method ink is applied directly on the natural subject, which is then rubbed on or pressed against paper to create the picture. The method captures fishes and plants extremely delicately, repeating even the tiniest little details such as fish scales, and stems and veins of a plant.

The sustainable poster is printed on high-quality off-white paper, which is FSC certified for responsible forestry. Each product is checked manually to ensure superb quality.
