We have been looking for some beautiful Nordic yarns to have in our store to complete your favourite knitting projects, and we are so excited to begin with Vuonue. On their family farm in Paimio (South West Finland) they raise a breed of native Finnish sheep, Grey Finnsheep.
70 % Finnish wool
30 % tencel
100 g ≈ 400 m , fingering

The yarn is super soft and smooth so you can use it for anything where a softer feel is needed.
Wilhelmi yarn is 100% natural and biodegradable. Finnish wool is combined with tencel, wood fibre, to add durability and strenght to the yarn. Tencel gives a beautiful shine to the yarn so the yarn can be used for shawls, sweaters and any knitted accessories. Worsted yarn fits especially well for lace knitting.
In worsted yarn the fibers have been combed in the same direction which makes it noticeably smoother than carded yarn.
