We have been looking for some beautiful Nordic yarns to have in our store to complete your favourite knitting projects, and we are so excited to begin with Vuonue. On their family farm in Paimio (South West Finland) they raise a breed of native Finnish sheep, Grey Finnsheep.

Pentti is made from Finnish wool combined with tencel, ( a processed wood fibre), to add durability and strength to the yarn. Tencel gives a beautiful shine to the yarn so the yarn can be used for shawls, sweaters and any knitted accessories. Worsted yarn fits especially well for lace knitting.

In worsted yarn the fibres have been combed in the same direction which makes it noticeably smoother than carded yarn.
