Pappa Sven Workshops - Introduction to Nordic Colourwork - October 14 & 21st

Are you an adventurous beginner knitter who would like to expand their skills to learn traditional Nordic Colourwork?
If so, we would love you to join us with our beautiful knitting friend Valerie, who will teach you the basics of colourwork to start your first project.
What you will learn:
Over the two sessions you will learn the following skills;
- Long tail cast on
- Knitting with two colours, one in each hand
- Reading a colourwork chart
- Weaving in as you go and catching floats
- Creating a swatch and calculating gauge
- Knitting 'in the round' and the 'magic loop method'.
Prior Knowledge
Participants are expected to be confident with knit stitch, purl stitch and casting on/ off before attending this workshop.
Our Teacher
This workshop will be run by Valerie who is a very talented & experienced knitter, a lover of wool & natural fibres and a really calm, positive person to learn from.
Please note that this is a 2 week workshop and you will need to commit to both weeks.

Tuesday 14th October, 1pm - 4pm

Tuesday 21st October, 1pm - 4pm
Please note this workshop will be held in our upstairs apartment, you will be required to walk up stairs to access the space.
