Pappa Sven Workshops - Beginners Knitting Workshop - Tuesday 22nd September

This is the perfect workshop for a beginner knitter, that knows how to knit and purl, but would like to tackle their first project.

We will be knitting a mini 'PetiteKnit' Sophie Scarf and you will learn all of the skills that are required to finish the project yourself. This is the project that seems to get everyone started with their knitting and yet we all still love comong back to make it again and again!

This workshop is designed for people who are beginner knitters . Knitting is a wonderful slow craft that will free your mind from the busy world we all live in, but beware it is addictive!

This workshop will be run by Valerie who is a very talented & experienced knitter, a lover of wool & natural fibres and a really calm, positive person to learn from.

What you will learn:

The workshop will give you an introduction into following a pattern and learning to increase and decrease stitches.

The Sophie Scarf is worked back and forth in one piece, from tip to tip in garter stitch with built-in i-cord edges. 

You will have the opportunity to discuss future projects / workshops during the session and hopefully encourage you to keep on knitting!

What you will receive:

PetiteKnit Sophie Scarf Pattern

Vuonue Yarn to create the sample , plus enough yarn to complete the full project in your own time

An authentic Fika break, provided by Pappa Sven (Coffee & Cake)

You will also be welcome to stay for our afternoon stitching circle on the day to keep knitting (at no extra charge)

What to bring:

Please bring 4mm Knitting Needles to complete the project (or contact us if you would like us to source these for you)

Please note this workshop will be held in our upstairs apartment, you will be required to walk up stairs to access the space.
