Marimekko Pihalla Basso Cotton Dress

Marimekko's Summer 2026 is just AMAZING. We were lucky enough to view it in the Helsinki Head office and it felt like a dream come true! The collection had a huge response at Copenhagen Fashion Week and we are just so excited to have it in our store!

The Pihalla shirt dress has an oversized, straight fit and it features the Basso pattern, which is printed in Helsinki. The dress has a banded collar with gathering at the back neckline, a reinforced bib front, and a short button closure that ends in a pleat. The dress has short loose sleeves and side seam pockets. The hem has short side slits with a rounded cut in the front and a straight cut in the back.

This product is made of 100% organic cotton poplin.

Marimekko dresses are cut using the whole width of the fabric, and therefore their appearance may vary slightly. Each item is unique.

Stripes have always brought rhythm to Marimekko’s design language. Maija Isola’s 1973 Basso is a bold diagonal stripe pattern born to take center stage.
