Marimekko 2021 Collection - Jokapoika Shirt

2021 we celebrate 70 years of our much loved design house, Marimekko. It is so exciting on so many levels! This is the first drop in the 2021 collection and we hope you love it as much as we do xx

Available 1st week December, 2020

The Jokapoika is a unisex shirt featuring the Piccolo pattern. It is a loose fit shirt with a straight cut to the hip hemline with little side slits and a stitched-on chest pocket. Metal buttons secure the front closure and cuffs.

I love the Jokapoika shirt, it just fits in everywhere! Whether you are walking down the main street of Armidale, on the beach in Newcastle or shopping in Helsinki. It is such a versatile easy shirt to wear.

In her first year at Marimekko in 1953, designer Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi created Piccolo, a striped fabric painted with freehand brushstrokes. Three years later, a Piccolo print shirt called Jokapoika became the first piece of Marimekko menswear to hit the stores and the streets.
