Fiskars Norden Bread Knife
Fiskars is a beautiful village in the South of Finland, which was founded in the 17th Century and was the centre of the Finnish iron industry for many years. Fiskars Ironworks was started in 1649, and today is one of the oldest businesses in the western world.
We have carefully selected the Norden Knife range from Fiskars as they are still made in Finland. The handle is manufactured in Finnish birchwood that has been given a special heat-treatment to increase stability and improve its resistance to changes in temperature and humidity. The stylish Nordic design features an embossed brand logo on bolster and end cap.
We use them in our own home, and they are truly beautiful knives to use. They have a lovely heaviness and the bread knife is perfect for cutting your favourite loaf of sourdough as thinly as you'd like!
Fiskars Norden knives are made from premium materials according to traditional Finnish knife making methods. The Bread knife's serrated cutting edge is ideal for cutting bread with a hard crust. The premium quality blade is made of high-performing, high carbon German steel, which ensures superior performance and long-lasting sharpness. Excellent sharpness is further enforced by the optimal 26˚ sharpening angle. The knife handle is crafted from Finnish heat treated birchwood, making the knife both very comfortable and naturally beautiful. Blade hardness HRC 56.
